Overview of the IMGL 2017 Autumn event

During this year of 2017, our Head of the Legal Department, Jakub Kolomicenko, became a proud member of the IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law). The IMGL is an association consisting of roughly 350 highly qualified members which include a mix of gaming attorneys, regulators, educators, consultants and other executives who are active in the gaming industry. The members come from 43 countries in the world as well as from 34 states and territories in the United States. All of these members are dedicated to education and the exchange of professional information concerning all aspects of gaming law.

This association organizes a special event every year in spring and autumn to gather the majority of the members to discuss the latest topics in the industry. In past years, it was in Ireland, California, Italy, and this year they all met in the capital of Denmark. Endorphina is very proud of our very own lawyer to attend and be a part of such an educational association.

What does Jakub have to say about the event?

The whole conference has been an amazing experience and I was a part of many interesting and enriching discussions. If I must choose one, I would pick the European regulation debate because it is closest to my field of experience or the AML debate because this is the hottest topic for everyone in this industry. Generally, it was really interesting to find out more about other jurisdictions, because our company will be sooner or later spreading the focus further and, of course, the discussion about the future of gaming which should be important for all of us.”

The IMGL Autumn 2017 conference was the final event of this year and we are curious when and where the next one will take place. One thing is for sure: Endorphina won’t be missing out!
